There will be no more night.
They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun,
for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign for ever and ever.
They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun,
for the Lord God will give them light.
And they will reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 22:5
Wow.
I don't know about you, but that verse gives me chills of excitement!
This is the stuff fairy tale endings are made of...except this is no fairy tale.
This is a sure and promised reality!!
And I am so thankful that it is part of my reality!

Want to join in this challenge?
Here's how to participate:
1. Select a scripture.
My hope is that each week you will search your Bible and select a verse that has meaning for you.
Here's a link to a good Bible verse search engine.
2. Add a photo to it.
I hope that you will chose a photo that goes with your chosen scripture, and not just throw these two elements together. The photo can be from your archives or a new shot. Please only use your own photos. You can have the scripture on your photo, below it, make a collage - however you want, as long as the two elements are together!
3. Put the Scripture & a Snapshot button in your post.
You won't be deleted or banned if you don't. It just helps spread the word...and the Word. ;)
It also helps visitors from the blog hop quickly identify your Scripture & a Snapshot post.
4. Come back here and link up your post.
Please link directly to your Scripture & A Snapshot post, not the home page of your blog.

ReplyDeletePS - I wanted to thank you for your post about saying Yes. It was the beginning of many different ways the Holy Spirit spoke to me about slowing down and remembering that I am here on this earth--at least in this season of life--to minister to my children.
Tremendous photo Katie!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful verse and a beautiful picture to depict it!! I really need to get off my lazy bootie and participate in some photography challenges again;0. Great job!
ReplyDeleteNot only does that verse give me chills of excitement, but your PICTURE does too - WOWEEE! That is fabulous! I have SO missed your regular blogging, but so happy that you're finding more time with the kiddos. I'm doing the same, and I have to say honestly...I don't miss blogging AT ALL! I never thought I'd say that, but I really truly don't.
ReplyDeleteOh, and a heads up: be prepared that come Spring...I am going to copy copy copy your swing shot! Probably one of all time favorite pictures. Truly. I saw it first on that video by Amber's (correct me if I'm wrong but was that a different shot?)...I mean absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! You're awesome! Thanks so much for stopping by! HUGS! XO
What a wonderful promise! This is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous shot! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING!!! Absolutely love this!!
ReplyDeleteThat verse is so exciting -- I so can't wait for that day -- for all eternity!
And lady, you rocked this shot! Love the blue and the sunlight and the flare! And how on earth did you process it? A texture? It almost looks like snow, but obviously no clouds (well, snow clouds!) It looks like I can see outer space, but the Son just lights it all up! I am so inspired and want to try something like this for myself!
This piece of scripture is so powerful and exciting - and I love the photo you've paired with it. Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMichelle - Thanks! I didn't do too much to this shot - it was a beautiful day! I'm pretty sure I ran PW's Boost action to up the contrast and then I cropped it, but that's about it. No texture. We have several cottonwood trees in our neighborhood and when they bloom, the seeds do look like snow! It was incredibly beautiful and peaceful to watch all those little fluffs of white seeds float through the air. ...I probably wouldn't be saying that if I had allergies, though! :) The sky was a gorgeous deep blue and the clouds were like that - God set the scene for a great shot!
ReplyDeleteOh, and to get starbursts, you need a really small aperture.
Very nice!
