Hello!!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
Ours was very relaxed and simple. We were away for four days around Christmas and I didn't even touch a computer during those four days. It was pretty nice to just spend time with family! After Christmas, our kids stayed with Grandma & Grandpa for Five. Whole. Days. Talk about a blissfully quiet week - it was like having a second honeymoon! We watched a ton of movies, slept in, went out to eat - it was certainly refreshing!
I didn't even pick up my camera this week, but I did a lot of editing. And I'll be sharing many of those photos in the coming week or two. I also have a giveaway planned for January, so be sure to watch for that.
I hope you have a wonderful and safe New Years Eve!
See you in 2011!
:)

I had this scheduled to post yesterday morning, but Blogger decided otherwise.
So here it is, one day late.

I use PSE 8 to edit and did the following:
Step 1. Duplicated the layer at least twice and played with the layer settings. I think I set one to overlay and one to screen.
Step 2. Applied a Kim Klassen texture to it and set the opacity to soft light.
Step 3. Ran Lemon and Honey action from Paint the Moon and adjusted the various layers of that.
Very Victoriana considering the pineapple was such an exotic in those days. I really like how you edited the shot.
ReplyDeleteOh, I like the edit! It's like something I'd see at Hobby Lobby or something in an artifact gallery or whatever. :) I can't quite come up with the "place" I'm looking for...
