Today is my birthday!
...so I thought a selfie of sorts was appropriate...

...and YES!...
it is warm enough for me to be wearing a tank top...and shorts!

It's been a wonderful 31st birthday!

Scavenger Hunt - Good Things Around the House

1. Music to My Ears
We have had no rain for such a long time that the cracks in the dirt around our house are looking like scary, deep caverns.
{a few more inches wide and the kids and I could go spelunking}
This morning, however, we woke up to a much needed rain.



2. Hat
I love this hat.
I got it at Target for $10, which was full price but worth the splurge.
{ps. Target has the best clearance sales.}



3. Clear
Clean dishes mean my counter tops are clear.
And that is a good thing.
{spoken in my best Martha voice}



4. Out of this World
For this prompt I chose Candyland.
{I don't know about you, but my street certainly isn't lined with gumdrops}



5. Sprinkles
Sprinkles of rain on the screen door.
...ahhhh...

Little Bit o' Me

Ashley's self portraits are so darned inspiring.
So the other day I gave it a go.
...and now if I die tomorrow my kids will have ten whole photos to remember me by. ;)



Wow. I have waaaay more wrinkles and freckles than I thought!
In case you're wondering, my eyes really are that color.





This one's my favorite. I think it's the detail in my hair.
I used my 50mm for this shot - which you probably already know does not auto-focus with my camera body. It made it a bit more difficult to get these shots, but I love my 50!








Yes, I have tattoos.
And yes, that's plural.




Of course I must include one really out of focus shot...'cause that's how I roll.
