Oh boy.
8:45pm Saturday night rolled around and I had not even thought about this post until then!
What does that mean?
i. forgot. about. GOD.
I put Him on a shelf until it was convenient to remember.
And that makes me no different from the Israelites who continually forgot God when things were going well.
Why did I forget Him?
Because I was too busy working on my Etsy shop, rolling out a bit of social media marketing and trying to launch an ad campaign.
And what did He do after I did that?
He blessed me.
I don't make frequent sales - but I sold something this past week.
And it reminded me that I am only successful because of Him.
He gave me a talent,
He gave me the capacity to learn new things,
He. gave. me. EVERYTHING.
and I need to remember that.

Want to join in this challenge?
Here's how to participate:
1. Select a scripture.
My hope is that each week you will search your Bible and select a verse that has meaning for you.
Here's a link to a good Bible verse search engine.
2. Add a photo to it.
I hope that you will chose a photo that goes with your chosen scripture, and not just throw these two elements together. The photo can be from your archives or a new shot. Please only use your own photos. You can have the scripture on your photo, below it, make a collage - however you want, as long as the two elements are together!
3. Put the Scripture & a Snapshot button in your post.
You won't be deleted or banned if you don't. It just helps spread the word...and the Word. ;)
It also helps visitors from the blog hop quickly identify your Scripture & a Snapshot post.
4. Come back here and link up your post.
Please link directly to your Scripture & A Snapshot post, not the home page of your blog.

ETA: Just in case you're wondering why the thumbnails are only 4-wide, it's because many of the blogs that add the blog hop code have a much narrower section for their posts and last week I noticed that many links were getting cut off. Hopefully this width will accommodate the majority of your blogs!
What a beautiful post Katie.

Thank you for the reminder, Katie. My success comes from the Lord!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your shot!! And, Katie, just because you forgot about this post does not mean you forgot about God! I think it's fabulous that you forgot about this post because that means that the step back you took from blogging a couple of weeks ago so you could focus on more important things is WORKING!! Many blessings...
ReplyDeleteHis faithfulness...we are never worthy, yet He proves Himself time and again. It's all Him. Wonderful photo and message!

ReplyDeleteI only started to even choose a photo and then think about what to write at 10 pm last night up until then I wasn't just quite sure how the Lord was directing me - but He soon let me know.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo~!
You are such an honest person. :) Although I have to think you may not have "fogotten" about God in this. I think you may have just been enjoying those kiddos and your time away from the computer. Awesome! This is a perfect capture. I love hot air balloons and to see one over water like that is so pretty. I love the way you did the verse too.
ReplyDeleteKatie:
ReplyDeleteI'm often guilty of putting God on a shelf until I need Him. Your post is a great reminder that He never leaves us - even when we don't take time to acknowledge His presence.
Blessings,
Joan
That's such a true statement. We're nothing without God, for better or for worse. When times are good, Praise Him. When times are bad, Praise Him. It's so easy to say it, and so challenging to do!
ReplyDeletelove this shot! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie - I'd love to join your Scriptures and a snap meme! Can I use your meme logo? Is it every Sunday or just once in a while?
