I chose this shot because to me it speaks volumes of light (meaning Christ) versus dark (meaning Satan) and everything in between:
There are a few spots of bright light - like when we are centered on Christ.
There are also some spots of darkness - like when we have fallen away from Him.
And then there are a bunch of gray areas. These represent the times when we are only centered on Christ when it's convenient for us, and even though they are not times of pure darkness, we are still a ways from the full light.
Where do you find yourself lately?
(The answer to this question is between you and God)

Want to join in this challenge?
Here's how to participate:
1. Select a scripture.
My hope is that each week you will search your Bible and select a verse that has meaning for you.
Here's a link to a good Bible verse search engine.
2. Add a photo to it.
I hope that you will chose a photo that goes with your chosen scripture, and not just throw these two elements together. The photo can be from your archives or a new shot. Please only use your own photos. You can have the scripture on your photo, below it, make a collage - however you want, as long as the two elements are together!
3. Put the Scripture & a Snapshot button in your post.
You won't be deleted or banned if you don't. It just helps spread the word...and the Word. ;)
It also helps visitors from the blog hop quickly identify your Scripture & a Snapshot post.
4. Come back here and link up your post.
Please link directly to your Scripture & A Snapshot post, not the home page of your blog.

Hi Katie - fun to finally join your Bible meme today! The Bible verse which I selected is painted on each of our three daughters' rosemaled baptismal plates which hang on our dining room wall!

That is such an amazing photo! WOW! And the perfect verse to go with it. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great prompt -- there should be almost all white in our pics -- but how much is really there? How much do we really have faith in God to get us though?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you're taking time to focus on your family and home -- don't worry about blogger-land. :)
Your verse and photo go so well together. Nice job!
