Scripture & a Snapshot - Final Week

Psalm-146-6

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you I have decided not to continue hosting Scripture & a Snapshot. Life has recently taken me on turns that I never would have dreamed and those turns are keeping me far too busy to do this meme justice.

But, I'm hoping one of you would be willing to take the reigns and give this meme and its amazing participants the attention it deserves! If you are interested in hosting, please leave me a note in the comments with your blog address and a way to contact you or email me at katiellloyd@yahoo.com and I will choose someone by Tuesday of this week.

Thank you for making this meme so successful and God-focused!
I am truly grateful for each one of you and your hearts to serve our amazing Lord.

Check back later in the week to see where Scripture & a Snapshot will be hosted next!

  1. So sad to see the meme go! I'm glad that you have been blessed in other ways to make you busy. I would consider hosting the meme, although it makes me a bit nervous because you have done such a great job with it and so many people have enjoyed it week to week. I just changed the name of my blog to His Prints Photography (used to be Stephani Cochran Photography. I hope we will still see your beautiful photography here. Do you think you are going to have to quit blogging all together?

    1. Blogging has gone from being 'put on the back burner' to 'ziplocked and tossed in the freezer'! I honestly don't know when or if I will return to blogging. I'm loving my time away from it but certainly miss those connections with wonderful people. My new etsy shop has just absolutely exploded! God is providing for me in many ways with the success of that venture and I do not want to miss where it might take me! :)

    2. hehe... you're so not alone in your decision!! I joked on my last blog post that it takes an astronomical event to make me post (because ahem, the last several have been about astronomical events -- super moon, venus eclipse, solar eclipse, hehe! I just can't convince myself to spend time to do anything more than that!). So anyway, just wanted to leave a quick note for you saying that I'm so excited for you and proud of your decision!!! Sometimes it is hard to break away from those connections, but you know, I'm convinced that several of those special connections are meant for a season, several are meant for a moment, several are meant for something deeper than just blogger-land/memes, and some are meant for a lifetime!!! Hugs and love, sweet friend!!!

  8. Though your reasons are completely understandable, I will certainly miss your postings.
While I have not been the best as of late with participating, this is one of my absolute favorite memes, and if you cannot find someone else who is able to take over, I would be more than happy to attempt it- anything to keep it going!!

  10. Beautiful photo and verse Katie. Since I found your Scripture and a Snapshot, I may not have posted every week but I have visited here and some of the others as well, as time allowed, and I'm going to miss this terribly!
I'd love nothing more than to step up to keep this going. I have a digital scrapbook site as well and a partner there that would be very excited to help me keep this going.

  12. Beautiful photo and verse! Even though I haven't managed to link up very often, I'm sad to see you go. But I also understand. Blogging often takes a back seat in my busy life also. I hope you find someone to host! God bless!

  18. Not sure when you'll see this, but I just got back on line again and wanted to come by! Love your image and the scripture, Katie! I am so sorry that I missed this last S&S with you before you closed up shop here! I totally understand about your decision, though, and I pray God blesses your little home business abundantly!! I know I haven't been blogging much at all ... last time was Mother's Day :/ . Circumstances of life seem to pull me away from the computer more and more these days .... more importantly, I've been concentrating on my relationship with God and less on the other distractions in life. I am still going to blog, but it may only be 'a little here and a little there', unless things change and I'm able to put more effort into it. I dearly enjoy photography, and of course joining in at S&S! I did read your more recent post on July 3rd, and visited Heather's site ... I'm going to be continuing submitting there when I can. I do hope to see you here from time to time, but in the meantime, I do totally love your Etsy Shop!! It will be fun to keep up with your work there! Be blessed my friend!

  19. Dear Katie, I have been on a crazy journey lately as well. I know how heavy your heart must feel to give us such a wonderful community. Life is a journey and if there is a passion in your heart it is because the Lord has placed it there. Perhaps if this is where you heart is, then this is only a short time in the cleft of the rock before seeing His glory. Blessings on you and you seek His perfect joy in your life.
