I am quickly becoming a huge fan of ruffles.
I found the following DIY video tutorial via this pin and this site.
{The directions for this particular scarf type are at about the 3 minute mark.}
...and here's mine...
{I wore it to church and received zero compliments on it...but I'm sure lots of people were thinking about how awesome it is.}
My costs were as follows...
XL t-shirt from thrift store - $2.00
{for which I waaaay over paid}
Grand Total : $2.00

ReplyDeleteI love these. I made a tee shirt scarf last year for me and my nieces for Christmas. I learned mine from Amanda. [http://www.kevinandamanda.com/whatsnew/crafts-projects/make-this-quick-n-easy-ringlet-t-shirt-scarf.html]
ReplyDeleteI KNOW people were wanting to compliment you on it, but felt that they should be listening/worshipping in service instead of commenting on Katie's AWESOME scarf!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to check this out! Yeah Project Pinterest!
I love the scarf. I think it looks great.
ReplyDeleteI think that they were just jealous they didn't have one!
ReplyDeleteLove your scarf, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure if the people at your church had known you made that scarf they would have been very impressed. I am impressed. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWow, my Google Reader did NOT show me this today. I'm glad I stopped by on my own. I TOTALLY would've stopped you in the hallway at church to ask you if you made your scarf. I saw "that tutorial" as well!! Love it Katie-girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting another Pinterest Project ready - saw something really cute today, and I'm playing around w/ it. Stay tuned. (hugs) ~Sal
Well girl...I SOOOO would have complimented you on it! :) You look great. It looks so chic. Very cute. I need to get creative and get one done.
ReplyDeletePS..Hannah is standing next to me as I am looking at this and she says to me "Whoa. She made that scarf herself? That's good!" So there you have it. You're styling'!
Very pretty scarf! I love the color and it looks fantastic on you! :)
ReplyDeleteYour scarf is so pretty! Love, love the color!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea! love your scarf!
ReplyDeleteOh cute! I'm not huge into scarfs (like dressy ones like this -- I'm all for the heavy warm ones around my neck and cheeks in the winter!) but if I was, I'd totally wear something like that!
ReplyDeletehehe... $2 overpaid! lol!
