Scripture & a Snapshot - Week 54

Water Ripple

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need."

Matthew 6:31-33

This week I've been struggling.
A lot.

I've been too focused on building my Etsy business and worrying about making more and more money even though God has been faithful through it all. My Etsy shop is profitable. I should be thrilled about that! Every time I have an expense, God sees to it that I also make enough to cover those expenses. He gives me just enough.

And then greed set in and made itself comfortable.
I even opened the door and showed it to the guest room.

But God tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me that He knows what I truly need and He will provide it.

Want to join in this challenge?
Here's how to participate:

1. Select a scripture.
My hope is that each week you will search your Bible and select a verse that has meaning for you.
Here's a link to a good Bible verse search engine.

2. Add a photo to it.
I hope that you will chose a photo that goes with your chosen scripture, and not just throw these two elements together. The photo can be from your archives or a new shot. Please only use your own photos. You can have the scripture on your photo, below it, make a collage - however you want, as long as the two elements are together!

3. Put the Scripture & a Snapshot button in your post.
You won't be deleted or banned if you don't. It just helps spread the word...and the Word. ;)

It also helps visitors from the blog hop quickly identify your Scripture & a Snapshot post.

4. Come back here and link up your post.
Please link directly to your Scripture & A Snapshot post, not the home page of your blog.

  5. I can understand totally where you're coming from Katie but you saw where it was going and nipped it in the bud real quick.

I love that little shot - it's as if you're looking down at the clouds despite it probably being a shallow dof of a piece of soft material.

  7. What a lovely photograph, as always! I've been struggling with worries this week as well. May we both find comfort in God's provision, whether it's according to our plan or not!
