Scripture & a Snapshot - Week 55

DSC_0004_01

So, last week I shared about my struggles with my business and money and basically how I was wanting more.
Ya know how you can feel yourself getting off the "straight and narrow"?
Well, I felt it!

“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."
Matthew 6:24

And God reminded me that He is in control.
That I was made for relationship with Him and to serve Him.
That He knows my needs and will provide for me.

"Give us this day our daily bread."
Matthew 6:11

Not "fourteen sales and a thousand dollars, but "daily bread". Enough. Give me what I need to get through today.

So I gave up that control-everything-and-make-more-money attitude and just let God handle the details.
After all, He has proven His faithfulness in providing for my family before, so it stands to reason that He will continue to do so in the present and future.

Guess what?
He did.

"Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power and the glory for ever.

Amen."

Matthew 6:9-13

Want to join in this challenge?
Here's how to participate:

1. Select a scripture.
My hope is that each week you will search your Bible and select a verse that has meaning for you.
Here's a link to a good Bible verse search engine.

2. Add a photo to it.
I hope that you will chose a photo that goes with your chosen scripture, and not just throw these two elements together. The photo can be from your archives or a new shot. Please only use your own photos. You can have the scripture on your photo, below it, make a collage - however you want, as long as the two elements are together!

3. Put the Scripture & a Snapshot button in your post.
You won't be deleted or banned if you don't. It just helps spread the word...and the Word. ;)

It also helps visitors from the blog hop quickly identify your Scripture & a Snapshot post.

4. Come back here and link up your post.
Please link directly to your Scripture & A Snapshot post, not the home page of your blog.
