Earlier in the week there was an incident { read: the buyer's inspector flooded our kitchen hardwood floor, thereby warping a 4'x9' section and didn't tell anyone about it! } with our house in Kansas that we're selling which made things nearly impossible to close on Friday.
However, by Thursday afternoon Seth and our Realtor, with a lot of help from God, were able to get the necessary things done in order for the 3pm closing on Friday to still happen!
We now only own one house, which feels fantastic!
No more double mortgage payments, no more double utilities payments, no more lawn service for a house we don't occupy, no more worries about things going wrong because we're not there!
Through this, God has reminded me that He will take care of us.
Rarely in the time frame or ways I expect Him to, but in the end He is faithful and loving and ever present!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
There are no less than 40 instances of this verse throughout the Bible, reassuring us that He is good! He is faithful! And His love is forever!
{ ...you think 40 instances is a coincidence?! }
In what ways have you seen God's goodness, faithfulness and love this week?
Selling houses is so stressful isn't it? So glad you can breathe in the freedom of having it behind you and the future right at your feet. He is faithful. And I adore that picture. I love birds, anything with a bird sings to my heart. And I have felt the love and faithfulness of God through my husband in the way he loves me unconditionally .. . in the beautiful lavender roses he brought home from work among many things.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for your good news! I love your photo, so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYES! So glad it worked out!!! =)
ReplyDeleteI love your picture and verse. God answers prayers! I am so glad everything was taken care of!
ReplyDeleteGreat is His faithfulness! Precious little bird. And wonderful news!
ReplyDeleteI saw Him this week as He protected my daughter. She suffered a bronchospasm while driving but was able to pull into a gas station near a friend's house who was able to get her to the hospital. Scary.
What wonderful reminders you've experienced of God's hand in your lives. And thank you for sharing it with us, along with that needed verse!
ReplyDeleteIt's always important to remember God's perfect timing--what a great verse for today!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear that you sold you house. I loved your share today!

Hooray for your home closing! Yay!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your home closing! We've been there before with the double mortgage payments and it is NOT fun. So, yay!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo to go along with a beautiful scripture verse.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happening! I cringed with you! Praise God that it all turned out so well! I know that amazing relief of a house sold and just one to worry about! Such a lovely picture and verse, too.
ReplyDeleteKatie, Your photos are so awesome! You capture the light and make it work to your advantage, and the LIGHT from God's word shines along with it!
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Such a sweet image, and the scripture is perfect! So happy to hear that all things worked out so you could close on your house! Isn't God good!!! We are praying for a house now, for ourselves. We know there is one out there somewhere ... God knows and it's all in His timing! How have I seen God's goodness, faithfulness, and love this week? ... oh my!! He has been here for me through some difficult things with our son ... a mom's heart is terribly tender towards her children, no matter the age! We hurt when they hurt, but, I've found that God is ever faithful, ever present, and truly cares for each one of us down to the smallest minor detail!! So thankful for His love!! I have to say, it's so good to be back here again ... I'm looking forward to going to each of these entries and, again, being encouraged! You have a blessed week in Him!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, it's hard to realized how special we really are to Him. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteDid not tell you?! Oh my! I am SO SO glad that house is finally sold and you are finished with it. How great is our God that He can send us simple reminders of His love for us through scriptures?! It is so easy to forget how special we are to Him when trouble and trials come our way. Of course, that is when we should cling ever so tightly to Him and let Him do the rest.
ReplyDeleteAmen! We're currently supporting two households too but I'm believing God that this is a temporary situation. So glad to read that everything worked out for you all.
ReplyDeleteThis is really a wonderful reminder. God never gives us more than we can handle. I remember having a conversation with my mom about this as she was trying to figure out how she would take care of her elderly mother, 2 new grandbabies and run a business. We certainly didn't expect for my grandmother to pass away but God has a plan so much bigger than us and it's always better than what we would have imagined. Congrats on closing.
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad things came together.
